Quick answer

In Noida, Greater Noida and the YEIDA area the fire NOC is the Fire Safety Certificate of UP Fire and Emergency Services, issued through the Chief Fire Officer of Gautam Buddh Nagar under the UP Fire and Emergency Services Act, 2022. Noida Authority, GNIDA and YEIDA sanction the plans and completion; they do not issue the fire NOC.

You apply online on upfireservice.gov.in, or on Nivesh Mitra for apartment houses, schools, hotels, industry and mixed buildings: provisional before construction, final before occupation. The portal charges nothing, the service limit is 15 days, and a certificate lasts 5 years for homes, 3 for most other buildings and 1 for hotels, hospitals and assembly buildings.

How Flamekite runs a Noida fire NOC file

  1. Place the plot

Noida Authority, GNIDA or YEIDA for the plans and completion; the Gautam Buddh Nagar fire service for the certificate. A Ghaziabad address goes to its own CFO.

  2. Classify the building

Over 15 m, or any school, hospital, shop, office, factory or warehouse: the class sets the systems, the signing officer and a 1, 3 or 5 year term.

  3. File the provisional certificate

On upfireservice.gov.in or Nivesh Mitra before construction, with drawings that match the sanctioned map; the portal charges nothing.

  4. Get the final certificate

After installation and inspection, before the authority's completion or occupancy; the limit is 15 days, and objections must be answered in the time the notice gives.

  5. Keep it alive

Form A-8 every January and July, and renewal on Form A-11 at least 1 month before expiry: every year for hotels and hospitals.

Who handles a Noida building's fire papers, by where it stands

The fire certificate comes from UP Fire and Emergency Services everywhere in Gautam Buddh Nagar. The address decides which authority holds the plans and the completion papers.

  1. IfYour plot is in a Noida sector

Noida Authority sanctions the plans and issues completion; the fire certificate comes through the CFO Gautam Buddh Nagar. UPF&ES officers

  2. IfYour plot is in Greater Noida (GNIDA)

GNIDA sanctions the plans; the fire file sits with the same district CFO, with stations at Surajpur, Ecotech 1, Ecotech 3 and Knowledge Park. ThePrintnews report

YEIDA sanctions and completes plans on its online Building Plan Map Approval System and links Nivesh Mitra for other approvals, the fire certificate among them. YEIDA

  4. IfYour building is an apartment house, school, hotel, factory or mixed building

Apply through Nivesh Mitra rather than the fire portal directly. UP Fire FAQ

  5. IfYour building is in Ghaziabad (Indirapuram, Vaishali, Raj Nagar Extension)

Ghaziabad has its own Chief Fire Officer and development authority; the same UP Act and portal apply. UPF&ES officers

  6. IfYour certificate is due for renewal

Five Noida and Greater Noida buildings and what UP's rules make each do

Flamekite’s working from the official rules; no government publishes this figure.

Real-shaped premises run through the UP Act, Rule 44 and Schedule VI. Your own building may differ.

  1. Case 1

A 30-storey society tower in Greater Noida West, 95 m

Flats on 30 floors over 2 basements, GNIDA-sanctioned.

  2. Case 2

    A 12-storey IT office in Sector 62, 40 m

Why Noida fire NOC files stall or get objections

Five problems seen in UP's published rejection points and the Noida drives, with the fix for each.

  • If A tower filed with the district office when it is over 60 m.

Schedule VI sends apartments of 60 to 100 m to the In-charge Fire Region; file to the right level. UP Rules 2024

  • If Uploaded drawings that differ from the sanctioned map or the building.

Rule 43(8) judges the actual area, height and use; match the upload to what stands. UP Rules 2024

  • If Basements without smoke extraction or compartments.

Show basement smoke extraction and compartmentation; it is a published rejection point. UP Verify NOC

  • If Missed Form A-8 declarations in a society.

File every January and July; the 2022 drive sent notices to about 300 high-rise societies. India TVnews report

  • If A hotel or hospital renewing on a 3-year cycle.

Rule 44 gives them 1 year: renew on Form A-11 at least a month before each anniversary. UP Rules 2024
