Overview

This bank holds 40 multiple-choice questions on the Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989, in four sets of 10: scope and schedules, reports and audits, emergency plans, and public information, accidents and authorities. Every explanation names the rule or schedule that settles the answer.

The Rules have been amended before: the 1994 amendment set the 48-hour accident notice and the six-monthly mock drill, and the 2000 amendment rewrote the major accident definition. The questions test the amended text and name the year. No amendment after 2000 was found (read 25 October 2026).

Learn the numbers by rule: 3 months, 60 days, 90 days, 30 days, 45 days and 6 months each belong to one rule. The traps and the checklist below end the page.

Every question rests on the Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989 (S.O. 966(E)) as amended to S.O. 57(E) of 2000, read from the Goa Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers copy on 25 October 2026. The questions are Flamekite's own, not past-paper items, and are practice, not legal advice.
